  We had a lovely home cooked meal here while in the area visiting Paultons Park. The landlord and landlady were very welcoming even opening up 10 minutes early so we didn't have to wait in our warm car in the sun. They offer a good selection of freshly cooked good quality food and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Good children's menu too.

  I live in Colden Common and had walked and run past here many times thinking it didn't look very inviting. How wrong I was! My partner suggested we pop in here for a meal, as it had looked cosy with candles on the tables when she walked past. We had a lovely meal! The atmosphere was friendly, quiet and cosy. I had steak and ale pie with mash and she had steak and chips. Both meals arrived promptly, were well presented and piping hot. We both left feeling very satisfied and will definitely return.

  Really nice and cozy restaurant! Food was delicious! Really recommend this place. Only negative was the service was a slow.
